Online Therapy

Given the shuffle and bustle of their busy lives, my clients find they're often pressed for time to take care of themselves. Adding in another hour for therapy plus the commute can be like trying to fit a puzzle piece too big for the spaces available. Virtual counseling allows that puzzle piece to flex and fit more easily so that therapy can be within reach.

Accessibility

Online therapy breaks away the barriers of physical proximity. Instead, it offers an opportunity for the therapeutic fit to be at the heart of my clients' decision-making process. Telehealth allows my clients to move past counting minutes and miles, to see beyond drive-time and rush hour stress, and welcome some much-needed simplicity. Big city, small town, or in-between towns, no matter where in Texas you're located, our virtual therapy space will allow me to "travel" and meet you there.

Flexibility

Keeping consistent with therapy can be a more feasible goal with telehealth, and consistency supports change! Meeting virtually offers my clients a practical approach to therapy while they restructure their boundaries and create more balance in their overbooked lives. By removing the need for travel and not being limited to a therapist "within proximity," my clients can make creative use of time pockets found throughout their schedule. Traveling away for work and inclement weather, which can disrupt therapy consistency, doesn't have to be a barrier when we meet virtually.

Everyday Tools & Familiar Modern Day Connections

Telehealth makes use of resources we're already using: phones, tablets, computers, and the Internet. For many of my clients, the ability to connect virtually feels familiar. Although the COVID-19 pandemic placed remote connections on the map across the spectrum of work, family and friends, and even leisure activities, connecting online was a part of many of my clients' lives pre-pandemic.

It's Not Completely New For Therapy

Offering mental health services in a virtual setting has been around for years. Research shows it can be as effective as in-person therapy. In addition, several therapeutic interventions, including EMDR, lend themselves well for a virtual setting.

Our Virtual Space Is Secure

I've taken steps to ensure our shared virtual time has protection from the internet debris of risks by using HIPAA-secure communication channels. It's like we have our very own highly secure virtual bubble. We also take time to talk about ways to create privacy in your space during our session.

If you're feeling ready to explore more of what our work together can be, I welcome you to get in touch for a free consultation.
